A truck rammed a security post on a highway in Mexico on September 9, 2021. Izvestia reports this with reference to the local television channel Televisa.
The truck was reportedly carrying sugar. An accident occurred on the highway connecting Mexico City with the large city of Pueblo. The truck rammed the toll checkpoint. As a result of the accident, two people died, and several more were injured. At the time of the incident, in addition to the staff of the checkpoint, there were fighters of the local National Guard at the post.
According to the preliminary version, the cause of the accident was the failure of the brakes and the resulting loss of control by the driver of the heavy truck. This is not the first major car accident in Mexico in recent years. For example, in June, 12 people were killed in a bus accident near the town of Reynos.
