The American space corporation SpaceX has made another successful launch of a heavy launch vehicle Falcon 9. This is reported by RBC with reference to the Twitter account of the head of the company, Elon Musk.
The launch vehicle launched 51 new small-sized satellites into orbit as part of the Starlink project. Its essence lies in the creation of a global Internet connection system, covering the entire surface of the globe. Communication between satellites is carried out using laser transmitters installed on each of the satellites. This time the V1.5 devices entered orbit. The launch vehicle was launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base at 20:55 local time (6:55 Moscow time).
The previous design launch of Falcon 9 was made in May 2021. In January of the same year, the first launch was made, during which a rocket of the same model launched a record number of satellites into orbit at a time.
In Russia, the Starlink project, which provides free Internet services around the world, is not working because the defense departments have not allocated the appropriate frequency slots. For the same reason, the implementation of the 5G project is still difficult in Russia.
