The Ecuadorian authorities have decided not to wait until the end of research on the effectiveness of the vaccine used in children and to launch a compulsory vaccination campaign for schoolchildren. In total, about 20 thousand children from 12 to 15 years old will be vaccinated. It is noted that adolescents will be vaccinated only by specially trained teams with expanded tools. Only the Pfizer vaccine, whose name is associated with the least scandals and problems in the world, will be used.

It also became known that another batch of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine had arrived in Mexico. In Ecuador, the Russian drug is almost never used.
